Balochistan Sajji, Traditional, Balochistan
Balochistan Sajji, Traditional, #Balochistan
Sajji is a native dish of Balochistan. It is the most famous dish of Balochi cuisine. It consists of whole lamb, in skewers (fat and meat intact), marinated only in salt, then roasted over coals. The roasting time takes many hours.
Sajji is considered done when it is at the ‘rare’ stage. It is served with a special bread “Kaak” or “naan”.

Glimpse of Quetta City, Balochistan
Glimpse of Quetta City, #Balochistan
The city is known as the fruit garden, due to the numerous fruit orchards in and around it, and the large variety of fruits and dry fruits produced there.
Located in north western Balochistan near the Pak-Afghanistan border, Quetta is a trade and communication center between the two countries. The city lies on the Bolan Pass route which was once the only gateway from Central Asia to South Asia.
It is believed that it relates to the four imposing hills (Chiltan, Takatu, Zarghoon and Murdaar) that surround the city and form a natural bulwark.

Jezira Haft Talar (Island of Seven Hills) – Astola Island – is one of the many hidden gems in #Balochistan.
Astola Island is around forty miles off the coast of Pasni (fishing town)
The only way to reach this mysterious-yet-charming place, is by eggbeater or boat. The place is home to exotic marine life together with ocean turtles, ocean urchins, sea shells, sea gulls, sea snakes, cat fish, eels and multiple variations of ocean life.
